Very nice to meet you!

I'd like to welcome you to our web site, and I look forward to perhaps meeting with you in the future.

We have seen many successful foreign companies attempt to break into the Japanese market and yet fail, withdrawing from the market very quickly because of language barriers, cultural barriers and even lifestyle differences.

For me, having been born and grown up in Japan, this is a very disgraceful and disappointing situation. And it makes me realize that fair competition between Japanese companies and foreign companies is not happening in Japan.

I spent a few years in the Midwest, in Ohio, when I was in my twenties. When I think about it now, I realize that the time I spent in the USA was really wonderful and it gave me confidence to take on many different challenges.

However, even then I never felt disadvantaged because I'm Japanese. On the contrary, I was very warmly welcomed without being restricted in anyway because I was foreign.

Of course, I've gotten older, and times have changed radically. But I still can't help feeling like the Japanese government is requesting unnecessarily strict standards just to protect domestic companies and their profits.

But the world has changed and it is now possible to do business anywhere in the world!

A few years ago I attended a very popular seminar in U.S.A. Most of the attendees were from English speaking countries. What was more surprising, was the fact that even such a successful and popular speaker did not have the opportunity to come to Japan in order to present their seminar, even though they had presented in other countries in Asia, including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the Philippines.

After careful consideration of this situation, it occurred to me that everybody has forgotten that Japan is in fact the second largest economic power next to the USA.

With great products and business ideas, isn't it ridiculous to do nothing in a country with such economic power?

My company has consulted with entrepreneurs and companies who have started their business in Japan and gone on to make huge profits.

I truly believe that it is possible for you and your business to become a success in Japan. I hope you'll let us help you.

Very truly yours,

Junya Igarashi
